ASSOCIATE JUSTICES
Robert L. Boone is a partner at Wilmer Cutler Pickering Hale and Dorr LLP. A former
federal prosecutor and accomplished trial lawyer, Robert represents companies,
boards and individuals in complex litigation and investigations. He recently returned
to WilmerHale after spending nearly a decade as an assistant US attorney in the
SDNY where he served as a senior member of the Securities and Commodities Fraud
Task Force and the Public Corruption Unit, leading some of the office’s most high-
profile trials and investigations of recent years. These included the prosecution of
a former top aide to then-New York Governor Andrew Cuomo for bribery, several
NCAA Division 1 basketball coaches and athlete advisors for corruption, and celebrity attorney Michael
Avenatti for extortion.
Since rejoining WilmerHale, Robert has represented several executives and companies in DOJ and
SEC investigations and enforcement actions, including the president of a real estate development firm,
an executive of a global food corporation, an executive of a major investment bank, a major crypto
company, and a life science company. He is also co-lead counsel in a lawsuit brought by WilmerHale
and the ACLU on behalf of Black voters challenging Georgia’s new redistricting maps for diluting Black
voting power. Robert earned his JD from the University of California, Berkeley School of Law, where he
was the Editor-in-Chief of the California Law Review, and a BA in political science, summa cum laude,
from Howard University.
Gabrielle S. Friedman is a partner at Lankler Siffert & Wohl LLP, where she
represents U.S. and international clients in matters ranging from cross border
criminal investigations and prosecutions to complex civil and regulatory matters,
often with a global dimension. Gabi has obtained favorable results for clients in
matters raising issues of corporate and securities fraud, accounting fraud, criminal
antitrust law, and the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act. With a strong focus on pre-
indictment advocacy, Gabi represents clients in investigations, in the complex
strategic negotiations that accompany a non-litigated resolution of criminal or
regulatory charges, and when necessary at trial. She frequently represents clients facing parallel
investigations in more than one country. Such matters often involve coordinating the rights accorded
