colourful personality, full of fun and good cheer, and it is difficult to believe
that Sam is already 90 years old. He is a household name in India, where he

will always be remembered as an outstanding military leader, who gave us
our first decisive victory against a foreign power in 1971. A living legend,
his place is assured in the hall of fame of the Indian Army.
