The monthly check-ins equip team members with four solid GOAL strategies:
G - Growing the business; which applies to producing and selling more, etc.
O - Obsessed in building a strong base. This relates to compli- ance with necessary regulations, maintaining safety, quality, etc.
A - Attaining perfect service.
L -Living to full potential is about allowing people to upgrade
their skills which translate to better work environment.
On the topic of work environment, in 2017, PSC made a huge investment in upgrading the workspace by enhancing and improving the ventilation, insulation, lighting, and other infra- structure. During the renovation period, work operations were put on pause for four weeks, but Jorge and his team used the time for self – improvement, undergoing a four-week training programme.
In addition, the Product Supply Chain encountered some unforeseen incidents. Inclement weather impacted the field; cost challenges presented themselves, and they had to contend with implementation of new regulations. Despite the unanticipated encounters, the team adjusted and pushed through.
Some of the key projects PSC was involved in this year include:
• Campari restyling and capacity increase
• Relaunch of Appleton Special, White & Genesis, J. Wray
Gold and Silver
• Trilogy – Redesign of Appleton Estate Range
For 2018 the Product Supply Chain team promises to continue to elevate their standards to make J. Wray & Nephew a world class place in the field and factories.
