MH Famous Moonshine (#8) and Mammy Jammer (#9) dead-heat for first in the $44,500 Speedhorse Paint & Appaloosa Championship Futurity.
“We thought we had it won,” Hainline said. “By looking at the monitor it looked like we won the race, but the angle of the finish line showed that we dead-heated.”
“Really when I watched the race I thought she was second,” Enlow said of Mammy Jammer. “So, when it came up dead heat we were tickled to death. As far as splitting it, I think it’s good for both parties. The dead heat’s pretty unique. I was satisfied with it.”
Enlow also owns Dashin DD, Mammy Jammer’s dam, a lightly raced 2014 mare.
Travis S. Adams bred MH Famous Moonshine and owns his dam, Gorgeous Judy APHA, a winning 1998 mare.
Hainline plans to run MH Famous Moonshine’s yearling brother next year on the futurity circuit.
As for this futurity winner ... “Sometimes the horse steps up. That’ll be Eddie’s decision what we run him in,” Hainline said. “He’s got quite a bit of speed; he’s just never left the gates running. He’s always been a closer. We’ll just have to see how he matures.”
Power Fade APHA (Painted Turnpike-Fade Shot), a winner of the other two legs of the Speedhorse Triple Crown, finished third this time for owners Loyd J. Yother and J. Garvan Kelly. Dee Keener is the trainer and Juan Pulido did the riding.

Mammy Jammer’s winning connections include owner Roy Kent Perkins, breeder/trainer and jockey Cody Wainscott.
