                   Danjer’s winning connections include owners Downtime Enterprises, LLC, Billy G. Smith & Dean Frey, who also trains the gelding and jockey Cody Smith.
 Shez Jess Toxic developed into a talented run- ner, earning $235,296. She won the 2011 AQHA Juvenile Challenge Championship-G2, 2011 Evergreen Park Juvenile Challenge, and 2013 Remington Distaff Challenge. She has produced two winners from four starters. Her yearling by Favorite Cartel, named Braggin Rites, sold for $122,000 at this year’s Ruidoso Select Yearling Sale. Frey bred Danjer in Oklahoma. The Parsons family broke Danjer in California for Frey.
Kelly Perez’s homebred Mi Amor Secreto (The Louisiana Cartel-Streakin In Secret) finished second under jockey Alfredo Sigala for trainer Santos Carrizales Jr. The 5-year- old gelding has won three stakes, includ- ing the 2019 Downs at Albuquerque Fall Championship-G1.
Mario Delgado piloted Eagles Fly Higher (One Famous Eagle-Lone Bet) to third for owner Darling Farms and trainer Casey Black. Eagles Fly Higher’s four stakes wins include the 2020 Sooner State Stakes-G1.
Rounding out the field were Charlies
Fury (Furyofthewind-Jess Charlena), Heza Blues Man (Favorite Cartel-Eyesa Blues Girl), Walcott (Tee Cos-Jess Maganette), Pirate Coves Hero (Valiant Hero-American Feature), Stripsteak (One Sweet Jess-Ruths Chris), and, in a dead heat for ninth, Frog Nation (Walk Thru Fire-Our Girl Magic TB) and Jesstafiably Jess (One Sweet Jess-Fly Thru Time).
