The ultra-consistent Paint filly Mammy Jammer, never off the board in her first seven starts, rewarded her connections with a stakes victory, prov- ing best in the $62,325 Pot O’ Gold Futurity-G1 for Paints & Appaloosas at Will Rogers Downs on Oct. 3.
With Cody Wainscott in the irons for owner Roy Kent Perkins and breeder/trainer Ray Enlow, Mammy Jammer broke on top and grabbed the early lead in the 350-yard test. She maintained a clear advantage through the lane and was never headed or seriously challenged. She scored with authority, win- ning by 1-length at the finish. She stopped the timer in :17.853, earning an 88 speed index.
The win was the third of the year and first stakes victory for Mammy Jammer, who improved her over- all mark to 8-3(1)-2-3(2). The $24,528 first-place prize increased her earnings total to $55,883.
Enlow bred Mammy Jammer out of lightly raced Dashin DD. Mammy Jammer is her first starter.
This Wire is Hot APHA (CRM Livewire- Princess Friona) and jockey Cody Smith surged late to finish second for owners Dan and Kaye Jones and trainer Matt Whitekiller. The gelding has won or placed in eight of his nine starts.
Baileys N Corona APHA (Coronado Cartel QH-Baileys N Sunsets), with Juan Pulido riding, ral- lied late to finish third for owner Dunn Ranch and trainer Monty Arrossa.

Ms Esther dominated her four opponents to win the $38,242 AQHA Will Rogers Downs Distance Challenge Stakes-G3 at Will Rogers
Downs on Oct. 4.
Racing for Jordan Baumann of Sallisaw,
Oklahoma, who also trains Ms Esther, the 6-year-old mare covered the 870 yards in :45.609 while aided by a reported 8-mph tail wind. Andrew Samaniego rode the Oklahoma-bred sorrel mare as they broke
in third place from the three hole. They were still
in third at the first call, but had 4-lengths as they entered the top of the stretch. Ms Esther crushed the field as she crossed the wire 9-lengths on top.
Ms Esther was making her first start since May 30, when she ran third in the 870-yard $40,000 Remington Distance Handicap-G2 at Remington Park. Raced in two states, including New Mexico, Ms Esther has won nine of 19 starts -- including eight of 16 at the 870-yard trip -- and the $19,886 winner’s share of this purse from her fourth stakes victory boosted her earnings to $192,713, of which $184,673 has been banked at the 870 distance. Ms Esther’s resume includes wins in last year’s 870-yard Pauls Valley Stakes-G2 and AQHA Remington Distance Challenge-G3, both at Remington Park.
Ms Esther was bred by Duwyne and Janice Pfeifle out of winner Tres Down The Cash. The mare has produced two winners from five starters. Ms Esther is her first stakes winner.
SW Artemisia (Second Painted Sign- Snowbound Lady Bug) ran 2nd for Milena Kwiecien. Juan Pulido rode for trainer Dee Keener. Executive Trust (Executive Menace-Entrust) fin- ished in third. Josh Romero rode for owner Sherree Meridyth and trainer Guadalupe Munoz Jr. Eyesa Superstitious (Agouti-Eyesa Precious) and Zealicious Jewel (El Diablo Tres-I’m The Zeal Deal) completed the order of finish.

Captain Blood ran his win streak to three and registered his fourth win from eight starts this year with a dominating victory in the $41,450
Cricket Bar Appaloosa Futurity at Will Rogers Downs on Oct. 3.
Ridden by Andrew Samaniego, who has partnered the gray gelding in his last five outings, Captain Blood raced in fifth position early. Once
he hit his best stride, Captain Blood engulfed his foes, took charge in the lane and rolled to a clear-cut 2-length score as the odds-on favorite. Trained
by Luis Villafranco, he covered the 400 yards in :20.327, earning an 85 speed index.
A homebred for Gary Vaughan, Captain Blood improved his record to 8-4(1)-1(1)-1 and the $16,358 winner’s share of the purse increased his bankroll to $35,810.
Vaughan bred Captain Blood out of lightly raced Eyesa Knockout. She has produced six winners from seven starters, including Hall of Fame Horse Major Tom. Captain Blood is her second stakes winner.
Runner-up Diente Por Diente ApHC (Capo De Capi QH-Boppin Js Fastball), with Ruben Castro aboard, charged late on the far outside to secure the place spot for owner Racin RNS and trainer Carlos Ruiz. One Fabulous Tom ApHC (One Fabulous Eagle QH-Eyesa Knockout) and jockey Justine Klaiber showed good speed away from the gate and held third for owner Mike Vaughan and trainer Eddie Willis.
