Jet Deck was the second stakes winner from five foals out of Miss Night Bar by Moon Deck (shown below left).
The purchase of Moon Deck was the next big event in the evolution of the Carter breeding program. He was purchased from J. B Ferguson, who was the owner of Top Deck and the breeder of Go Man Go (shown).
Miss Night Bar became an ROM producing machine when she entered the broodmare band. She produced her first foal in 1954, Piggin Bar by Piggin String. He
did not have an official race record. Miss Night Bar went on from there to produce 13 more foals, all ROM including three stakes winners. Her next five foals were by Moon Deck. The 1962 Gift Horse and the 1962 Freeway Stakes winner Miss Jet Deck was the first with earnings of $19,562. On top of her two stakes victories, Miss Jet Deck was second or third in 10 mores stakes events. She was second in the 1959 Diamond Mae Stakes and had a speed rating of AAAT, and we see it today as a speed index of 100 or more. Bar Deck was the next runner, and
he was ROM with a AAA rating, or 95-99 speed index. He had 26 starts with nine wins, two seconds and six thirds earning $10,379. Bar Deck is the sire of AQHA
Supreme Champion Deck Jack. Clovis Deck was the next runner, and he was AAA rated with 42 starts and four wins, five seconds and six thirds. He earned $7,762.
Jet Deck is the next ROM runner and second stakes winner out of Miss Night Bar by Moon Deck. More on him when we take a closer look at his race record. Limelite was next and the fifth Miss Night Bar foal sired by Moon Deck. She was an ROM earner with 27 starts, four wins, four seconds and four thirds earning $5,650. Miss Night Bar was then bred to Rocket Bar producing Three Jets in 1962. He was an ROM earner with 50 starts, bringing home seven firsts, seven seconds and four thirds with earnings of $9,098. She returned to the court of Moon Deck to produce Lightning Jet in 1963, who was an ROM earner with 16 starts and finishing first one time with two seconds and earnings of $1,021.
