Trainer Michelle Woodley helped raise Twixt Of Fate, which made the gelding’s victory in the $50,106 Ontario Bred Futurity at Ajax Downs on Aug. 26 that much more special. Gary McNichol bred Twixt
Of Fate in Ontario, Canada,
from Eyesa Quick, and Richard Wincikaby purchased him this past spring. Twixt Of Fate debuted in the Aug. 5 Ontario Bred Futurity trials, racing erratically for jockey Ed Walton, but still qualifying the fastest.
Walton said that Twixt Of Fate was more professional in the final. A couple of the 2-year-olds took a while to load, yet Twixt Of Fate stood fairly
quietly. He broke second and quickly vied for the lead, winning by a neck in :15.574 for 300 yards, which was good for a 90 speed index.
The gelding is out of stakes- placed Eyesa Quick, who has produced five starters, all winners. Those include Later Tater, who fin- ished second in the 2017 Ontario Sires Stakes Derby and third in the Ontario Sires Stakes Futurity.
Milena Kwiecien’s homebred Countryfried Chicken (Country Chicks Man-La Wanda) finished second. Helen Vanek rode the gelding for trainer Jason Pascoe. Countryfried Chicken has finished second three times and third once

To Be Fandango) ran third under jockey Tony Phillips. Bryn Robertson trains the gelding, who finished second and third in his two prior starts.
