Blood Money remained perfect in the first two starts of his career and became a stakes winner with an impressive score in
the $346,842 Laddie Futurity-RG2 at Delta Downs on June 12.
Ridden by Everardo Rodriguez, Blood Money raced in third position early in the 330-yard test. He collared early leader Jess Louisiana in the lane and put away Apollitical Tornado approaching the wire to register a 1-length victory over the latter, stopping the timer in :16.476. The final clocking earned 97 speed index for the 8-5 race favorite who is trained by Rosendo Valdez Jr. and owned by Rojas Racing Stables.
