Louisiana Bred Lassie Futurity-RG2
SHEZA FAST BLOOD

Following a dominating 4 1/2-length victory in her May 21 trial dash, Sheza Fast Blood backed up that win and ran to her name with
another convincing win, taking the $318,983 Lassie Futurity-RG2 on June 12 as much the best and the 8-5 race favorite.
Ridden by jockey Gilbert Ortiz, Sheza Fast Blood was the fastest qualifier for the main event, and for the second straight race, she simply ran away and hid from her rivals in the Lassie Futurity.
Sheza Fast Blood broke alertly and dueled for the early lead in the 330-yard event before asserted her superiority through the lane.
In an impressive effort, she crossed the finish 2-lengths to the good of runner-up MP Sixty Silky, stopping the timer in :16.533, which earned a 95 speed index.
