PSBA American Paint Classic Futurity-G1
TRIPLE L XPRESS

Trainer Dee Keener remembers running horses against two-time Paint World Champion CRM Livewire, one of the many reasons he
likes having offspring of the leading Paint sire
in his barn. That paid off in the April 29 PSBA American Paint Classic Futurity-G1. Keener qualified four to the race, three by CRM Livewire, and ran one-two with Triple L Xpress and Pevs Wire To Wire, a colt and a filly by the stallion.
Triple L Xpress and Peves Wire To Wire broke next to each other, from posts 8 and 7, respectively. They battled together throughout the 330 yards, and though Triple L Xpress drifted wide, he was able to nip his stablemate by a neck to win in :16.799.
“I thought they ran really good,” Keener said. “That filly that was second really left there and was kind of in front. Then Triple L just kind of ran her down.”
Ricky Ramirez rode Triple L Xpress for the first time. In the colt’s three previous races, Bryan Candanosa had been aboard.
