DELIGHT INTEREST

Eduardo and Vanessa Leon are part of the Triple Five partnership, a group of Texas friends who have owned horses by
themselves and together. The Leons had the opportunity to witness one of Triple Five’s biggest accomplishments when Delight Interest captured the May 19 Sam Houston Derby-G3 at Sam Houston Race Park.
With Juan Pulido aboard, Delight Interest broke eagerly from post 7 in third place and immediately engaged with Jess Good Wine to his outside. Those two battled throughout the 350 yards, but Delight Interest never let Jess Good Wine catch him. Delight Interest won by a neck, stopping the timer in :17.564 for a 104 speed index.
Pulido rode Delight Interest in the gelding’s very first start, when they finished second by a head in a trial for the 2022 Oklahoma Futurity at Remington Park. The jockey hadn’t been back aboard the gelding until the trial for the Sam Houston Derby, which they won in the
