After a wire-to-wire score to break his maiden in his career debut in March at Louisiana Downs, Woopaa123 failed to find the wire first in his next two starts. Making his second stakes appearance after finishing fifth in the Louisiana Downs Futurity-G2, the sorrel gelded son of leading first-crop sire Flying Cowboy 123 recorded his initial stakes score with another gate-to-wire victory, this time
in the $167,424 Old South Futurity at Delta Downs on May 20.
Dismissed at odds of 11-1, Woopaa123 proved uncatchable. He broke sharply from
his inside slot on the lead and never looked back. He darted straight to the lead in the 330-yard test. He stretched his advantage to
1 1/2-lengths in the lane and maintained that advantage to the finish, defeating Frankie Jr. in a final time of :16.656. The clocking earned a speed index of 94.
Owned by Party Tyme Racing and trained by Jose Espinosa, Whoopaa 123 is now a

Woopaa123 and jockey Cipriano Vidana win the $167,424 Old South Futurity by 1 1/2-length.
