Racing from two until six years of age, the 1989 mare banked $581,416 from 49 starts with
19 wins, 15 seconds and 6 thirds. She earned a 107 speed index and equaled the 440-yard track record at Remington Park. She had additional wins in the Mildred N. Vessels Memorial-G1, Anne Burnett Invitational-G1, Remington Park Championship-G1, Horsemen’s QHRA Championship, Oklahoma Championship Challenge-G3 and Manor Downs Derby-G3. She was also second in many stakes, including the 1993 All American Gold Cup-G1 and Champion of Champions-G1.
Sound Dash is the dam of three winners/ROM earners. She is out of a winning half-sister to two stakes placed runners and to the dam of Grade 3 stakes winner Majorlee Exclusive ($208,200). Her second dam is stakes winner Twelve Five ($114,325) and her third dam is stakes winner Double Rose ($90,961), who is a full sister to World Champion Bunny Bid (4214,028).
This year, the winner of the $57,000 Grade 2 Sam Houston Classic on May 19 was RJ Lets Get Fiscal (The Fiscal Cliff-Chick With Speed, Chicks Dash Easy) under jockey Agustin Silva for owner Juan Carlos Meza and trainer Mary Meza.
