WON FAMOUS DASH

Won Famous Dash has had a very productive fall and winter. He has won four out of his last six races, including the Texas Classic Stakes-G2 at Sam Houston and a second-place finish in the Dash For Cash Derby-G2 at Lone Star. His latest win was the B.F. Phillips Jr Stakes-RG3 held at Lone Star Park on Dec. 18, a 400-yard event that carried a total purse of $61,500.
The three-year-old gelding broke clean from the seven post and he had his work cut out for him. He was a length behind the leaders at the half-way point. Jockey Ricardo Garza-Cruz offered steady encouragement and they overtook them and crossed the line a head in front. They stopped the clock at :19.461 for a 102 speed index. He also earned the first place check of $34,440, taking his lifetime earnings to $155,775. His race record stands at five wins out of 14 races.
His team includes breeder/owner Scarlett Hill Farm Inc. and trainer Rolando Almanza. Won Famous Dash was bred in Texas out of Lil Famous Dash, winner of the Texas Classic Derby-G1 in 2014 with earnings
of nearly $158,000. She has produced 12 foals. 2021 stakes winner Hock It To You is her top earner.

AQRA Turf Paradise Derby
REPUBLIC ANNE

Republic Anne ran second in her Dec. 22 trial to the AQRA Turf Paradise Derby and came into the main event with the fifth fastest time. The 400-
yard final was held Dec. 23 with a total purse worth $56,525.
The brown filly stepped away on top from the 3-post with jockey Emilio Tapia in the saddle. They quickly took control but were overtaken by 1/2-length at the finish by Wildroses 101, who
was disqualified for drifting out. Republic Anne crossed the line a neck in front of the rest of the field in :19.576 to earn a 107 speed index and a first place check worth $28,263. She now has a lifetime bankroll of $82,628, and her race record stands at five wins in 18 career starts for owner Jose Antonio De Santiago and trainer Jesus E Olivas-Valenzuela. She was bred in Texas by Bobby D. Cox out of First Fancy Racy, who earned almost $381,000 in her running days. She has produced seven foals, and Republic Anne is her best product.
Shez Our Jess (Hez Our Secret-Jess Marcy) had the second fastest qualifying time and in the finals she didn’t break the best but showed a strong will to finish second for owner Angel Valenzuela and trainer Jim Crotts. Luis Valenzuela was in the irons.
Jess Packn Heat (Jess Good Candy-Back In The Pack) won his trial heat and had the third fastest qualifying time. In the finals he ran true to form. He is owned/trained by Orlando Guerrero. Kevin Carbajal was in the saddle.

HEARTACHE TONITE

Heartache Tonite has won his last three in a row, climbing the ladder from maiden to allowance and now a futurity. His latest win was in the AQRA Arizona
Bred Futurity. It was a 350-yard event that carried a $53,200 purse hosted by Turf Paradise on Dec. 15.
The gelding exploded on top from the five post with Luis Valenzuela aboard. They were a length in front at the midway point, and with the wire in their sight, coasted to a 3/4-length victory. They stopped the timer at :17.855 for a 94 speed index.
Heartache Tonite earned the first place check worth $26,600, taking his lifetime earnings to $40,609. His race record stands at three wins from five starts for owners Carolyn and Ralph Fales, who is also in charge of conditioning.
Bred in Arizona by Ralph and Carolyn Fales, Heartache Tonite is out of the stakes-placed winner Heart An Soul. She has produced two foals, and Heartache Tonite is her best product.
HW One Sweetstreaker (One Sweet Jess- Streakns Easy) had clear sailing on the outside. He showed lots of heart and made up enough ground to bank second place money. Connections include owner Harold R. Wright and trainer Pedro Urias Soto. Hizain Camacho was in the saddle.
Mr Icon Six (Texas Icon-Ready And Waitin) took a hard bump at the break. He showed his toughness by getting up for third place. He is owned by Armando Perez-Gomez and trained by Benito Guillen Vega. Emilio Tapia was handling the reins.
The remaining order of finish was Lightning Girl (TF Im That Guy-Firstqueen Cartel), Eyesa Got Easyer (Volcom-Eyesa Unique), Fayvorita (Favorite Cartel-Watchin The Rain), Tornadoe Bay (Texas Icon-Macy Bay), Lotsa Fun (Lotsa Mischief TB-Fun N Luck), Texas First Icon (Texas Icon-Always First), E Dallas (Waven You Down-Twice The Ice) & El Woody (Talkalota Bull-Bayou Now).
