Dashing All The Way Stakes
BELLA FACCIA
by Danny Camp
The Dashing All The Way Stakes was exactly that, a mad dash to the finish line. It was a 100-yard stakes that carried a total purse worth $26,750 hosted by Turf Paradise.
It only took the winner a little over six and a
half seconds to bank $15,756. Bella Faccia, a seven year old stud colt, lined up in the 4-post. When the gates opened, Bella Faccia hit his stride quickly with the help of jockey Jacob Enriquez. As quickly as it started it was over and they crossed the line a neck
in front, stopping the timer in :6.538 to earn an 89 speed index. The multiple graded stakes placer also earned his first stakes victory and the first place check worth $15,756, which ups his lifetime earnings to $153,978 for owner/trainer Mario Dominguez.
Gianni Franco Samaja bred Bella Faccia out
of multiple winner Special Queen SA, who was
a runner-up in the 2002 Ed Burke Memorial Futurity-G1 and 2003 Golden State Derby-G1. She has produced 11 winners from 15 starters, including All American Derby-G1 runner up Fantastic Corona Jr. Bella Faccia is her first stakes winner.
Apollitical J One (Apollitical Jess-BP Shes Southern) finished second under Michael Ybarra for owner Martin Lopez and trainer Jim Crotts.
Turbulent Kisses (Turbulent Times-Kisses Calientes) ran a gritty race to finish third under Mark Jasso for owner Francisco Ayon and trainer Heraclio Botello. Mark Jasso was in the irons.
Jess To Reel (Jesse James Jr-Hot For Reel), Chicksfabulouscorona (Mighty Corona-Fabulous Fly Bye), Chumbley (Chickspecialmongoose-Easy Verna) Perfect Moves (Maknmoves-Perfect Jeb TB), Bar Fighten (Tac It Like A Man-Watchin The Rain), Wanta Go Home (Separate Interest-Miss Willie Nilly) and Iron Budderfly (First Down Dash-Budderfly Effect) completed the order of finish.
