RNC CARDSHARK JONES

Longshot RNC Cardshark Jones broke sharply from his rail post and rolled to a 6 1/4-length victory in the $35,000 Covered Bridges Stakes-G3 at
Prairie Meadows on Sept. 16
Trained by Robert Johnson for owners Jim and
Jane Leatherberry, RNC Cardshark Jones covered 870 yards in :45.238 while recording a 104 speed index. Ramiro Garcia rode the 5-year-old gelding.
RNC Cardshark Jones was coming off of a fifth- place finish in an 870-yard optional claiming race at Prairie Meadows on July 17. Raced in three states, including Montana and Wyoming, RNC Cardshark Jones has won six of 22 starts, and the $18,200 winner’s share of the purse from his first career stakes victory pushed his earnings to $59,558. The gelding set a New Track Record in this race, besting the :44.581 sent in 2012 by All About Larry. The gelding’s resume includes a 2nd-place finish in last year’s $25,000 Covered Bridges Stakes.
The gelding was bred in Montana by David Strain, and he is out of Dakota Jones TB, an unraced daughter of the Alydar stallion Seneca Jones.
RNC Cardshark Jones traces back to his fifth dam Anjelicco, a stakes-winning daughter of Angle Light who foaled three Thoroughbred stakes winners, including All Fired Up, the winner of the 1983 Arlington-Washington Futurity-G1 at Arlington Park.
CR Wicked Wabbit (JC Wills-Jess Too Wicked) finished second for owners, Carl E. Lee and Ron
D. Stanley. Andrew Samaniego rode the homebred gelding for trainer Mallory Norton. Dance The Dust Off (Coronas Blackdiamond-Magic Yard) ran third for owner Jewel Ramirez. Nakia Teeter rode the gelding for trainer Clay Teeter. Followed by Katch This Eagle (One Famous Eagle-Fast Prize Shana), Oro Cartel (BV Travelin Soldier-Gold Ounce), and Kornfusion (Lil Kool Wagon-Alina Alina). J V Two and PJS Power Play were scratched.
TS KOKO INMYJEANS

After securing the first place slot in his trial, race favorite Ts Koko Inmyjeans went on to snag the victory in the $82,894 Iowa Stallion Futurity
at Prairie Meadows on Aug. 18. Jockey Jonathan Dominguez piloted the gelding to victory, leading the field by 2-lengths after moving up the pack from the sixth place position coming into the stretch. The gelding completed the 350 yards in :17.964 for a speed index of 85.
Ts Koko Inmyjeans brought home a hefty purse of $37,302 for breeder and owner Thomas Scheckel and trainer Tony Jones. The two-year-old gelding has had a strong start to his racing career with 3 wins in 4 outs this season.
The gelding is the leading money earning progeny out of the mare Koko Taylor. He is also a full sibling to Ts My Wife Says Sell, the second place finisher of last year’s Iowa Stallion Futurity.
Rm Flyeasycash (Rapid Ivory-Fly Cora Fly) and jockey Armando Alvidrez took the lead right out of the gate but lacked the late surge to hold on to the lead, finishing second. The sorrel filly is bred and owned by Roy and Marilyn Maupin and trained by Wayne Garner.
Under jockey Jorge Torres, American Sparrow (Fast N Famous Jeans-Wagonbelle) gave steady effort, closing in on the third place position. The gelding is bred and owned by LXXI Racing Stables and trained by Renee Wilson.
The remainder of the field crossed the wire as follows: Charming Gogo (Self Control-First To Gogo), Smitty (Fast N Famous Jeans-Flash First Moon), Just Bein Lippy (Talkalota Bull-Wishful Thinking), Settin On Go (Go To The Gravel-Talkin Dirty), Ima Fast Cat Too (Go To The Gravel-Spangled), Trs Big Jake (Just Amazing Jess-Trs Dashin Diamond), and disqualified from fourth to last was Windys Sweet Favorit (Go To The Gravel-Windys Dashin Bye).
SHEZA FAMOUS CANDY

From the nine post, Sheza Famous Candy responded gamely and tore down the field to snag the win
in the $66,666 John Deere Prairie Meadows Juvenile
Challenge on Aug. 19. Seated under jockey Edwin Escobedo, the brown filly gained on her opponents from the tail of the field, to finish the 350 yards by 3/4-lengths in a time of :17.657 and a speed index of 94.
The filly scored a purse of $30,666 for owner Thomas Scheckel and trainer Jason Olmstead, boosting her career earnings to $100,590. She currently holds three wins in her five career starts.
Sheza Famous Cancy finished second in ther July 21 trial. She won her first out in a maiden at Remington Park wire-to-wire. She also won her trial to the Heritage Place Futurity by a length and was a finalist in the Grade 1 finals.
Sheza Famous Candy was bred by S-Quarter K LLC and she is out of unraced Send Me Special. The filly is currently the dam’s leading money earning progeny and only stakes winner, thus far.
Apolitical Love (Apollitical Blood-Panther Prize Me) and jockey Giovany Estrada covered good ground and captured second. The filly is bred and owned by Legacy Ranch and is trained by Robert Johnson.
Unable to hold on to their early lead, Jess Folzookieing (Apollitical Jess-Tres Seis Folszookie) and jockey Armando Alvidrez were outkicked coming out of the stretch. The filly is owned by Gene and Faye Reeves and trained by Jason Olmstead.
The remiaining order of finish was Kynetic (Freighttrain B-Zenergy), Mr Tread Lightly (Valiant Hero-Xoom), Nsm Sugars Cartel (Coronado Cartel- Sugarandicemakesnice), I Know The Cowboy (Flying Cowboy 123-Who You Know), Ungawa (Tarzanito-Miss Jp Washer), and Slippery Ann (The Marfa Lights-Sr Rode Tah Glory) and Risin Cowboy (Flying Cowboy 123-Slr Jessies Girl) finished in a dead heat for ninth place.
