QUEEN FOR CASH

For Queen For Cash, winning the Green Country Handicap-G3 proved to be twice as nice. The five-year-old mare prevailed in this stakes for Paints
and Appaloosas for the second consecutive year, winning the $15,776 event held Sept. 12 at Will Rogers Downs.
Gary Vaughan owns and bred the Appaloosa Queen For Cash, who broke on top from the No. 5 gate and never looked back. The mare led by a 1/2-length at the first call and maintained that margin at every other juncture, finishing her 350- yard trip in :17.422 for a 104 speed index.
Jesus Ruiz trains Queen For Cash and Roman Cruz had the riding assignment. Queen For Cash is out of Ivory Queen ApHC, a 2009 mare.
Queen For Cash reached the winner’s circle
for the fourth time in six starts this season and the 11th time in 24 lifetime outs. Of those 11 victories, eight have come in stakes company. The Appaloosa’s lifetime bankroll increased to $155,251 with the $9,264 payday from this event.
RP Reckless Wire APHA (CRM Livewire-RP Miss Reckess Dash QH), the post-time favorite at 8-5 odds, finished a game second for owner Jeff Adams and trainer Dee Keener. Cody Wainscott was in the irons. Over The Shock APHA (CRM Livewire-Dont Look Etherl QH) hit the board in third for Robin Haggard. Matt Whitekiller is the trainer and Eugenio Navarrete Jr. did the riding.
Completing the order of finish were Zbars Livewire FS APHA (CRM Livewire-Zbar Miss Bully QH) in fourth, followed by Hes A Harley ApHC (Hes Relentless QH-Cash An Flash),
El Docs Best Chic APHA (Docs Best Card QH-Imakickenchicken), Mimosa Lady APHA (Wagon Tales QH-Elaina Go Go), Salt Wire APHA (CRM Livewire-Fantastic Follies QH), and Wired To Win APHA (CRM Livewire-Mt De Boss).
SKY SIR

Sky Sir sailed to his first-ever stakes win on Sept. 18 at Will Rogers Downs, prevailing at the wire in the $37,275 Cricket Bars Futurity-G1. Breaking from the outside gate in a seven-
horse field, Sky Sir got off to a strong start and was running a solid third at the first call. Sky Sir worked his way up to a close second going into the stretch, then overtook Chicks Dig Tate by a head bob at the wire to win by a nose.

Home-bred by Reynaldo Ruiz, Sky Sir is a two-year-old colt who finished his 400-yard trip in a hand-timed :20.200 for a 87 speed index to triumph in this futurity for Appaloosas.
Sky Sir improved his overall record to 2-1-2 in five starts, with the $15,013 prize from this outing improving his total bankroll to $27,705. The young colt has finished in the money in every start to date.
Reynaldo Ruiz bred Sky Sir out of Maw Boss, a 2011 Quarter Horse mare. She has produced 100% winners from three starters, including 2020 Cricket Bars ApHC Futurity finalist La Fontaine.
Chicks Dig Tate (TF Im That Guy QH-Cash An Flash) finished 4-lengths clear in second place for owner/trainer Gary Walker. Cordarelton Benn was in the irons.
Jess So (Hes Relentless QH-Jess Cuz) hit the board in third for owner Jeff Adams and trainer Dee Keener. Jesus Salazar had the call aboard the filly.
Im A Kool Epidemic (Kool Wagon QH-Boots and Pearls), Ima Few Spot Fancy Pants (Im A Fancy PYC QH-Susies Spotted Cash), Sassy Vision (Gray Chief-Emmas Vision), and Ms Millers Spotted Cash (Taylors Spotted Cash- Zoomin From The Bar) completed the field. R Cowgirl scratched.
NAMGIS KODIAK KISS

Sixth-fastest qualifier Namgis Kodiak Kiss led at every call en route to a neck victory in the $114,124 QHRAI Stallion Service Auction Derby
for sophomores sired by participating stallions at Horseshoe Indianapolis on Sept. 2.
One of four finalists from the barn of trainer Tony Cunningham, Namgis Kodiak Kiss went 400 yards in :19.928.
Saul Lopez rode the Kiss My Hocks gelding for owners A Win Investments and Duke Racing LLC.
Namgis Kodiak Kiss was bred in Texas by Tommy Tatum and Namgis QH LLC. The gelding is out of Mischka Brown, a winning daughter of the Corona Cartel stallion Big Daddy Cartel.
He traces back to his third dam, Leading Diva, a daughter of World Champion Special Leader who won the 2000 Manor Downs Lassie Futurity-G3 and was a finalist in that season’s Texas Classic Futurity-G1.
Namgis Kodiak Kiss was coming off of a second- place finish in his trial.
Namgis Kodiak Kiss has won three of 10 races and has earned $93,164.
Fastest qualifier Louisiana Faster (The Louisiana Cartel-Fabulously Fast) finished second. Luz D. Martinez rode the gelding for owner Pamela Brickley Hann, and trainer Tony Cunningham.
Randy L. Thompson’s Sundays Best (Jess Zoomin-Sum Fun For Magic) ran third. Hugo Macias rode the homebred filly for trainer Jessica Vazquez.
We B Flyin (Freighttrain B-CB Come Fly With Me), Time For A Hero (Apollitical Blood-Jess Valiant), WRS Hava Dasher (Apollitical Blood- WRS Kissandteller), Ivory Six Pax (Ivory James- Epix), Seize Greatness (Seize The Win-Crossing The Brazos), and Eura Lota Guy (Lota PYC- Eurapollitical Girl) completed the order of finish. Winner Spirit was scratched.
