Jess B Glory selected an opportune time to break through with her first victory of the year. The 4-year-old filly had been winless in four previous starts this year, but is now a Grade 1 winner fol- lowing her hard-fought score in the $85,000 Junos Request Stakes-G1 at Remington Park on May 30. The victory gave her trainer Eddie Willis his final win of the meet, pushing his win total to 37 in route to his 11th season training championship title. Ridden by Jimmy Brooks, Jess B Glory broke alertly and dueled for the lead throughout the 400 yards. Jess B Glory held at bay a late rally from Diamond And A Half to defeat that one by a nose at the finish. Jess B Glory stopped the timer in :19.567, earning a 93 speed index.
Owned by Homer A. Hill, Jess B Glory added the $55,422 winner’s share of the purse to her cof- fers, which increased to $137,693. Her record now stands at 17-3(1)-4(0)-4(1).
You and Me Partners bred Jess B Glory out of stakes winner Glory Rider. She has produced 100% winners from two starters. Jess B Glory is her first stakes winner.
Runner-up Diamond And A Half (First Moonflash-Cuz Shez Famous) just missed with Juan Pulido riding for owner Antonio Gomez and trainer Jorge Hernandez. Valeriano Racing Stables LLC’s

MEMORIES OF LIL HERO

Memories Of Lil Hero notched his third career stakes win in the $20,268 Mister Lewie Paint & Appaloosa Memorial-G1 at Remington
Park on May 15.
Under jockey James Flores, the gelding broke
from the 5-post and promptly took the lead. At the midway point, Memories Of Lil Hero was on top by a head and continued to lengthen his lead to cross the wire a neck in front. They completed the 400 yards in :20.062, posting an 81 speed index.
Memories Of Lil Hero brought home the $12,852 winner’s share of the purse for owner Levings Racing LLC and trainer Monty Arrossa, boosting his total lifetime earnings to $195,514.
Memories Of Lil Hero now has a race record of 15-7(3)-5(5)-3(3), including victories in the 2018 Speedhorse Graham Paint & Appaloosa Futurity-G1 and 2019 Masterpiece Derby. The gelding was named Champion Breeding Stock 3 Year Old and Champion Breeding Stock 3-Year-Old Gelding last year.

of leading dam of 2019 money earning Paint horses Memories Of Texas. She has produced 100% winners from four starters, including World Champion Bull. Memories Of Lil Hero is her first stakes winner.
Owners Dan & Kaye Jones’ Live Moonshine APHA (CRM Livewire-PRP Sedona Sunset) and Southern Electric APHA (CRM Livewire-Ze Southern Girl QH) finished second and third respectively. Both trained by Matt Whitekiller, Live Moonshine was ridden by Cody Smith and Southern Electric was piloted by Andrew Samaniego.

RP Distance Championship-G2
LET THERE BE SOUND

2019 Distance Champion Let There Be Sound made the loudest noise in the $41,120 Remington Park Distance Championship on May 30.
The gelding broke in second from the 2-post and quickly grabbed the lead. He steadily increased his lead throughout the 870 yards, kicking clear around the turn and crossing the wire 1-length ahead of the rest in :44.922 to earn a 101 speed index.
Including first place money of $23,838, Let There Be Sound has now earned $222,117 for owners Louis & Corrine Howard. John Stinebaugh is in charge of saddling Let There Be Sound, who now has a race record of 24-9(5)-8(0)-0, including additional wins in the AQHA Cox Ranch Distance Challenge Championship-G1, Pauls Valley Stakes-G2, Downs at Albuquerque Distance Challenge-G3 and Bill Reed Memorial Stakes.
Black Oak Farm bred Let There Be Sound out of Thoroughbred mare Sakakawea, who earned over $370,000 back in her day. She has produced one Quarter Horse foal.
Jess A Hilbily Bone (Rock Solid Jess-Imaginiff) finished 2nd under Josh Romero for owner Rockin J Running Horses and trainer Tammy Johnson. The gelding finished fourth in the Remington Park Distance Challenge-G2 last month.
Ms Esther (Afras had TB-Tres Down The Cash) dropped down on the rail to save enough ground to bank third place money. She is owned/trained by Jordan D Baumann. Andrew Samaniego was in the saddle. The mare won three stakes races last year, including the Pauls Valley Stakes-G2.
