GCFA July Firecracker Futurity
DASHING MOVEMENT

Dashing Movement came into the finals of the GCFA July Firecracker Futurity at Gillespie County Fairgrounds with the
sixth fastest time from the July 4 trials. In the $93,600 finals, he stepped it up a notch.
Dashing Movement stepped away from the 1-post in sixth and was in the middle of the pack. Within a few strides, however, he was in the lead.
Ridden by jockey Manuel Gutierrez, the geld- ing never relinquished his top spot and by mid-race they were a 1/2-length in front. They extended their lead to 1-length as they crossed the wire.
Trained by Juan Diaz Jr., they completed the 350 yards in :17.741, posting a 94 speed index and a first place check worth $32,760. That ups his total bankroll
to $56,794, and his race record stands at four wins out of five races for owner
Jose E Guzman.
Minne De Leon bred Dashing Movement
out of winner Seis Of Hearts, who ran third in the 2012 New Mexico State Fair Senorita Futurity-RG3. Dashing Movement is her first starter from two foals.
Dashing Movement’s second dam is winner Ritzy Flash, a
half-sister to Clovis Classic Futurity-RG3 finalist Six A Blazin. She has produced one winner from six starters. His third dam is multiple winner Ritzy Six, who ran third in the 1994 El Tesoro De Oro Derby. She has produced six winners from seven starters.
Raise The Bar
High (Five Bar Cartel- Themostfamoustromance) had the fifth fastest
qualifying time from the trials. She didn’t break very well in the finals, but came on with a vengeance to capture second for own- ers Omar Soto and Manuel Soto III. The Salvador Flores trainee had Raul Hernandez Jr. in the irons. The filly finished first in her July 4 trial.
Second fastest qualifier Mysterious Patriot (Jet Black Patriot-Mysterious Night) finished in third place under rider Victor Urieta Jr. for owner Neri Alonzo Olvera and trainer Juan Diaz Jr. The gelding also finished first in his July 4 trial.
Charly Prospect (Prospect To The Top-Girls With Coronas), A Lil Pollitical (Apollitical Blood-Lil Fishy), Rare B (FDD Dynasty-Never Say Never), Sizzling Kiss (Kiss My Hocks-Ima Swingin Cowgirl),
One Famous Zoom (Azoom-One Famous Winner), Lifetime Patriot (Jet Black Patriot- Petriflying) and B A Grand Train Gi (Freighttrain B-Grande Annee) completed the order of finish.
