Howard Nichols’ homebred Jess Being
A Friend (Jess Being Valiant-Six Zeroes) finished second for jockey Rodrigo Aceves and trainer Elena Andrade. The gelding won two races back-to-back in October.
Dunn Ranch LLC’s homebred
Whizkey Glasses (FDD Dynasty-Marys Southernpolicy), the second-fastest qualifier, ran third. Jesus Ayala rode the gelding for trainer Monty Arrossa. In addition to the Golden State Million, Whizkey Glasses won the Easy Jet Stakes-G3.
Completing the field were Dasha Good Reason (Good Reason SA-Dasha Freda), Watch Out (Fly Thru The Fire-Look Her Over), Apollitical J Streak (Apollitical Jess- Streak Of Sixes), Favorite Honey (Favorite Cartel-Coronas Fast Honey), Dynamic
Jess (Apollitical Jess-Fervents Dynasty), and Rocket Seventeen (Apollitical Jess-Tres Magicals). Chizum was scratched.
Trainer Christopher O’Dell and his son Colten join Connie Rosenthal and jockey Eduardo Nicasio with his son Charlie.
