Marys Southernpolicy is a half-sister to graded stakes winners Southern Cartel, CC Policy, and Southern Dashing Val.
“She very seldom has a baby that can’t run,” said Matt of Marys Southernpolicy. “We have a full sibling to Whizkey Glasses out of her last year. Now we’re breeding to A Revenant.”
Bill Price bred Marys Southernpolicy, raced her, and bred her early foals, including BP Cartels Policy and BP First Class. The Dunns bred and raced Southern Wagon, who under Arrossa’s tutelage won the 2020 La Pacifica Handicap at Los Alamitos. Southern Wagon earned a total of $209,366.
La Feliz Montana Ranch LLC’s homebred Significant Dynasty (FDD Dynasty- Significant Runner) finished second under jockey Eduardo Nicasio for trainer Christopher O’Dell. Though still a maiden, the gelding has run second in four of his six starts.
Third-placed In Hott Pursuit (One Famous Eagle-Pandorum) also comes from the Arrossa barn and is owned by Dunn Ranch. Armando Cervantes rode the colt, who finished second in the Ed Burke Million Futurity-G1.
Rounding out the field were Just A Kool Boy (Favorite Cartel-Just Eagle), Chizum (Tempting Dash-Ms Eaves), Hallelujah Nights (PYC Paint Your Wagon-Tres
Sea), Fortunate Corona (Corona Cartel- Matabari), and Dasha Dynasty
(FDD Dynasty-Dasha Freda).
