Speedhorse Paint & Appaloosa Triple Crown Hi-Point Champion
Owner/breeder Roy Kent Perkins and RP Reckless Wire with trainer Ray Enlow after RP Reckless Wire was crowned the 2021 Speedhorse Paint & Appaloosa Triple Crown Hi-Point Champion.
RP Reckless Wire was named the 2021 Speedhorse Paint & Appaloosa Triple Crown Hi-Point Champion on Nov. 13 following a third-place finish in the $44,055 Speedhorse Paint
& Appaloosa Championship Futurity-G1, the third leg of the Speedhorse Paint & Appaloosa Triple Crown.
RP Reckless Wire finished third in the first leg of the Speedhorse Triple Crown – the $294,075 Speedhorse Graham Paint & Appaloosa Futurity-G1 at Remington Park on May 29. RP Reckless Wire then finished second in the $97,679 Speedhorse Paint & Appaloosa Futurity-G1 – the second leg – at Tulsa Fair Meadows on July 24.
RP Reckless Wire APHA (CRM Livewire-RP Miss Reckess Dash QH, Reckless Dash) was ridden by Cody Wainscott
in all three legs of the Speedhorse Paint & Appaloosa Triple Crown at Remington Park, Fair Meadows and Will Rogers Downs, and she was trained by Ray Enlow in all three of her Speedhorse Triple Crown races. The two-year-old Paint filly was bred by Roy Kent Perkins, who is also the owner. RP Reckless Wire’s winning owner received a trophy and belt buckle as well as an additional $5,000 Hi-Point Champion bonus from Speedhorse Magazine.
RP Reckless Wire scored a total of 25 points to take the Speedhorse Paint & Appaloosa Triple Crown Hi-Point Cham- pion title, in which eligible horses must enter and be paid in full into all three races, must enter the trials of all three races, and must compete in two of the three trials.
In her 2021 season, RP Reckless Wire also finished second in the Pot O’Gold Futurity-G1 at Will Rogers Downs on Oct. 2, and third in the PSBA American Paint Classic Futurity-G1 on April 24 at Remington Park
