César Pedrero Anaya Classic
BABY ANSWER

The César Pedrero Anaya Classic is a recent stakes event for two-year-old Quarter Horse runners foaled in Mexico, who are maidens
at the time of registration by paying $20,000 pesos ($968 U.S. approx.), as part of the
main purse that amounted to $267,500 pesos ($12,495 U.S. approx.).
Nine horses met the requirements and were presented on Nov. 7 at the Hipodromo de las Americas racetrack to measure their capacities at a distance of 330 yards.
Once the formalities were fulfilled,
horses and riders took their positions in the starting gate. At the break, SE Logans Corona stumbled, while AS Mariachi headed toward the outside rail of the track, a space through which the bay filly Baby Answer also moved under the command of José Ángel Ambrosio Medina, to cross the wire 1/2-length in front of SE Logans Corona.
The effort of the winning filly and her jockey translated into a time of :16.56 and a 92 speed index, thus obtaining her first victory
from six attempts, also including three seconds and a third place finish.
Bred by Everardo Múzquiz Elguezábal, Baby Answer is by the stallion Jesstifed and out of The Answer Lady (by Corona Cartel). She is owned by
the Cuadra Tayahua, which was represented by the veterinarian José Luis Sierra García de León, who received the trophies from Jorge Pedrero, son of the honoree Don César Pedrero Anaya.
For this triumph,
$133,750 pesos ($6,742
U.S. approx.) was credited to her account, also adding points to the record of trainer Gregorio Alberto Razo Parra.
As already mentioned, SE Logans Corona took second place under the direction of Alejandro Gómez Díaz. The colt by Logans
Mountain and out of Shes All Corona (by Corona Cartel), owned by the Cuadra Santa
Elena. The colt is bred and owned by Joaquín Ramón Peláez Cortés.
E Sportiness, by Eagles Span and out of Sportiness Cartel (by Corona Cartel) finished third under Miguel Ángel Rodríguez. He is owned by the Cuadra Santiago and
is trained by Liderme René Gómez Díaz. He was bred by Rancho Hacienda Santiago.
Fast Blazin Krash (Krash Cartel-Fast Blazin Bullet), SE She Jess Corona (Fly Jess
Fly-Shes All Corona), RG Winning King (RG Golden King-RG Nicky Horse), Rapid Runaway Jess (Rapid Fire Jess-Whistlin Runaway),
AS Mariachi (Jesse James Jr-Corona Tea)
and Leoncio (Hold A Lion-Banderilla Jolla) completed the order of finish.
