Beduino has become Quarter Horse racing’s All-Time Thoroughbred Sire of Money Earners.

leading money earner is Strawberry Silk, winner of the 1989 All American Futurity and she was the 1989 AQHA Champion Two Year Old and Champion Two-Year-Old Filly. Strawberry Silk was out of Painted Bug by Shawne Bug by Lady Bug’s Moon by Top Moon by Moon Deck by Top Deck.
The sire of Beduino was Romany Royal by Grey Sovereign by Nasrullah, and Romany Royal was out of Romany Belle by Vilmorin. Grey Sovereign was a stakes winner in the Richmond Stakes at 1200
meters, which is just under 6 furlongs. He had 22 starts with eight wins and earnings of $26,357.

Romany Belle, the dam of Beduino’s sire Romany Royal, was a race winning mare. Her sire Vilmorin was a stakes winner in the King’s Stand Stakes, and he was the broodmare sire of Zeddaan, winner of several stakes races in France including
the Prix d’Ispahan, a French Group 1. Zeddaan was sired by Grey Sovereign and out of Vareta by Vilmorin.
Vilmorin was sired by Gold Bridge and out of Queen Of The Meadows by Fairway. Fairway was a full brother to Pharos, the sire of Nearco, the sire of Nasrullah. Fairway and Pharos were sired by Phalaris, who was out of Bromus. This gives Romany Royal a breeding pattern of 4x4 to Pharos and Fairway.
