The dam of Romany Chi is Romany Lass by Manna by Phalaris, who is out of Bromus. Manna gives Romany Royal a breeding pattern of 5x5x5 to Phalaris. When we add Hainault, a half-brother to Phalaris, in the pedigree of Grey Sovereign, we get a breeding pattern of 6x5x6x6 to Bromus in the pedigree of Romany Royal.
Bromus and her pedigree provides an interesting source of speed. She was a stakes winner of the Seaton Delaval Plate as a
two year old. She was sired by Sainfoin by Springfield. Her dam was Cheery by St Simon. The dam of Cheery was Sunrise by Springfield. This gives Bromus a breeding pattern of 2x3 to Springfield.
Jo-Ann-Cat, the dam of Beduino was sired by Rejected, a King Ranch bred Thoroughbred. The sire of Rejected was Revoked by Blue Larkspur by Black Servant by Black Toney by Peter Pan by Commando by Domino. The dam of Black Toney was Belgravia by Ben Brush - giving the pedigree a Domino/Ben Brush cross. The dam of Revoked was Gala Belle by Sir Gallahad
II. The dam of Rejected was By Line by Blenheim. The dam of By Line was Sable Scarf by Sir Gallahad II. This gives Rejected a 3x3 breeding pattern to Sir Gallahad II again that we found in Top Deck.
Jo-Ann-Cat was bred by Harold Kitchens and so was her dam, the unraced Quick Eye by Depth Charge by Bold Venture. Depth Charge was out of Quickly, who was out
of Stephanie by Stefan The Great by The Tetrarch. The dam of Quick Eye was Eye To Eye, another unraced mare. She was sired
by Teddy. This gives Jo-Ann-Cat a breeding pattern of 5x5x3 to Teddy. Teddy was the sire of Sir Gallahad II.
The Nasrullah sire line through Beduino has had the most representatives on the million-dollar sire list. Chicks Beduino by Beduino with earnings of $36,497,062. Sons of Chicks Beduino include: Game Patriot with earnings of $30,776,350; Separatist with earnings of $25,114,951; This Snow Is Royal with earnings of $13,954,004; Chicks A Blazin with earnings of $13,447,455; and Chicks Regard with earnings of $8,134,080. Jet Black Patriot with earnings of $14,084,153 is a son of Game Patriot. Inseparable
with earnings of $4,826,626 and Seperate Interest with earnings of $2,417,582
are full brothers by Separatist. Runaway Winner by Beduino has earnings of $13,729,845 and Tolltac by Beduino has
earnings of $7,095,526. Splash Bac by Tolltac has earnings of $7,125,378.
