MAHONY’S
BUNKERS To formulate and implement a bunker rebuilding programme that will address the
current issues of size, style and placement of bunkers.
TEES To introduce larger teeing platforms which are fit for purpose and will remedy the
current wear and tear issues that give rise to poor presentation.
GREENS To produce better putting surfaces that perform consistently and are in keeping
with the championship standard of the golf course.
INFRASTRUCTURE To review and improve current course infrastructure to include pathways, bridges
and signage.
POINT TREE MANAGEMENT To review the current stock of trees and to formulate a tree management
programme that aligns with the Killarney National Park tree planting initiatives.
COURSE SET UP
To engage with the management council, men’s and ladies committees to review
the par, playability & set up of the golf course while respecting its’ traditional roots.
