Suppressed Emotions
- Alisha Das Anat, MYP 3
I used to tell you everything I am,
All those suppressed emotions, these crushing expectations,
Masking smiles acting as curtains to the blue of tears I bled,
Good, bad days I had been through,
Not a detail I had left,
Blinded by this shadowy light,
Foolishly climbing each step,
For of this broken ladder I had not known
Was made of iced-glass threads,
A string I believed was a rope,
Was actually garnished by deep cut thorns and threats,
An illustration I hadn’t kept in my mind,
This situation I just cannot define,
Whether I shall once again take your hand,
While I am still coughing in the mess you had drowned me in,
Choking in this game of cluttered puzzles you left me with,
Suffering in this endless dark void I know I can never escape,
For when I needed your help,
You left me in this gloomy confinement,
Whelming over the thoughts-Is it my fault, oh how can I liberate from this repression?
Is it my fault, save me from this massive destruction.
