WHY THIS GIFT MATTERS!
Lutheran Family Services (LFS) of Nebraska provides confidential counseling, care and
education specifically designed for active duty military, veterans and their families who face
employment or housing obstacles or mental health challenges. LFS provides Buddy Check,
Peer Support and Veterans Court Diversion Mentoring.
On Sunday, December 3, 2023, from 8:15 AM-12:45 PM, First Lutheran’s in-person Gifts of
Hope Market will include handmade items donated by members of the congregation. 100% of
the proceeds from these purchases will support LFS Veterans’ Programming.
HERE'S HOW YOU CAN GIFT HOPE!
$10. Provides a meal for a Nebraska
veteran attending a peer support
meeting.
$50. Funds LFS staff time at a Veterans’
Peer Support Group.
$75. Provides food and refreshments for
a monthly Buddy Check event.
$150. Assists a Nebraska veteran with
utility bills or groceries.
