“GIC’s mission includes membership, representation and participation for

all tribal nations in the four hemispheres. The challenges, crises, and

legacy of colonial conquest are not unique to the Americas. Throughout

Europe, Africa, Asia, Australasia and Oceania, the experience of

indigenous peoples replicates ours. A purpose of GIC is to bring unity,

reestablish ancient relationships, develop new alliances, exchange

knowledge, and find commonality in our shared purpose of vision and

strength for our future generations.”
