2019 Junior Program

Woodholme PGA Junior League

What is it?

 Think Little League Baseball, but for Golf! PGA Junior League is a team-based golf league
that competes against other country club teams in the surrounding area. The format
that is implemented allows for it to be simple to understand and judgement free for
beginner junior golfers, yet challenging and competitive for the more advanced players.
Who can participate?

 Any junior, boy or girl, of any skill level, that is 13 years old or younger.
When will this take place?

 We will have weekly team practices, and approximately 6 matches against other
Country Clubs from the beginning of May through the end of June. Exact time and dates
of practices and matches will be determined once we have filled a team.
Where will this take place?

 All practices will be performed at Woodholme CC. Some matches will be hosted by
Woodholme, while other matches will be played at other Country Clubs in the local
area.
When and How do I sign up?

How much does this cost?

 You will pay $75 online once you have gone through the registration process.
o This fee covers the players two uniforms (Home and Away), golf hat,
t-shirt, bag tag, and drawstring backpack.
 Then you will be charged $275 through the Club.
o This fee covers all of the Coaching aspects throughout the season,
and the end-of-season pizza party!

Is there anything else I need to know?

 Parent volunteers are needed at each match (home and away). For every group on the
golf course during a match, it is the responsibility of a parent/adult volunteer to keep
the official scorecard for the match. As coaches during the matches, it is our job to
survey the entire course and act as rangers/rules officials for everyone participating, so
volunteers are crucial for us to be able to accommodate everyone playing!
