vals since 1870. Excavations car-
ried out in Troy, which was thought

to have been founded in 3000 BC,
revealed the presence of 9 cultural
levels. The city, which was collapsed

9 times throughout history and
established in the same place, has

been a very important settlement for
thousands of years.
