One of the differences they have are the days that these festivities are celebrated. [First

Nowadays, Halloween is celebrated in October 30 each year.]
Another difference I that people eat different things. [On thanksgiving, people use to cook
a mixed vegetable rice and turkey. Those are popular food at this time. On Halloween, people
cook a lot of things with pumpkins this kind of food is really popular those days.]
The similarity of both festivities is how families celebrate them. [Both festivities are
celebrated with family members. Also, people decorate their houses with typical things. For
example, on Christmas people decorate with Christmas trees and on Halloween people
decorate houses with horror things. Finally, all the families talk between them and they play
fun things.]
To conclude, Thanksgiving and Halloween are American celebrations that have some
differences and similarities because they honor different things and people eat different
things in each of those festivities. Also, people are similar because they share happy things
with their family.
