elly Billing, owner of Water Becomes a Garden in Joppa,

Maryland, is an aquatic plant specialist, designer and
Kconsultant with 40 years of experience in the industry.

For 32 years she worked at a wholesale grower, Maryland Aquatic

Nursery Inc., where she was an aquatic nursery manager. Now,

rather than just growing aquatic plants, Billing is “helping people
make water features magical,” she said. “I’m intent on changing

the way water becomes a garden.”

Billing is a lifelong gardener and certified horticulturalist whose

love of plants serves as the foundation for making ponds and

water features beautiful for her clients. She recognizes that

each feature is unique, and each client’s personality, needs and
dreams are exclusive. She applies her love of nature, artistic eye,

passionate style and vast expertise to helping others reach their

water garden goals, big or small.
