Wilson County School District, an assistant principal at Midwood Alternative School, Sedgefield Middle School and Starmont Elementary School, and assistant first grade teacher at Lake Wylie Elementary School. Prior to becoming an esteemed educator, Ms. Abell pursued higher education with a Bachelor of Arts in education from Eastern Michigan University
in 1969 and a Master of Education in school administration from Winthrop University in 1982.
Ms. Abell authored
“An American Tragedy Unfolding: Our Educational System” and has contributed several articles to professional journals. She is also a member of the Association
