                     Ferrous Complexes of Two Antibiotic Drugs: Spectroscopic,

                      Molecular docking, DNA binding and Thermogravimetric

                                                                           ABSTRACT
                    New ferrous complexes of antibiotic drug compounds (Sulfaclozine and
                    Thiamphenicol)  were  synthesized  with  Fe:Ln molar  ratio  of  1:2.  The
                    complexes were characterized by elemental analyses, IR, UV–vis. spectra,
                    magnetic and thermal instruments. The results of the molar conductance
                    measurements reveal that all the complexes have no electrolytic behavior.
                    The  infrared  spectra  show  that  both  drug  ligands  act  as  a  bidentate
                    chelate,  Sulfaclozine  coordinates  through  sulfonyl  oxygen  atoms
                    and pyrazine nitrogen, while the Thiamphenicol ligand bind toward Fe
                    (II) ion via both hydroxyl oxygen atom. The spectroscopic results suggest
                    octahedral geometry for all Fe (II) complexes. The kinetic thermodynamic
                    parameters of the essential DTGmax decomposition steps were calculated.
                    The evaluation of cytotoxicity of Fe (II) complexes against HCT-116 and
                    MCF-7  cell  line  were performed.  Moreover,  the  antimicrobial  activities
                    (bacteria) of the complexes were assessed in comparison with the ligand.
