PARAMETER D – COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT and PARTICIPATION
1. SYSTEM-INPUTS AND PROCESSES
Needs assessment survey through a stakeholder’s forum was conducted to
determine the E&T needs of the target barangay. Consultations from various stakeholders
were encouraged too for the development of E&T agenda.
Training proposals were prepared and duly signed by the immediate supervisor
before presenting it to the RDET office for training and fund approval. Once the approved
proposal was returned, communication letters will be sent to prospective officials for
coordination and information dissemination.
A system in shopping mode of procurement was properly done by the supply office
and an inspection and acceptance report will be prepared for endorsement. Upon the
acceptance of the different requested supplies and materials, the E&T service/activity will
be done within the scheduled date and venue, participated by the proposed participants.
For every conducted training, the following papers will be prepared: Attendance Sheets,
pictorials, evaluation, certificates, MOA as an attachment for the terminal report. Terminal
reports will be submitted to RDET (main); RDET (campus) and E&T College Coordinator.
Visitations to the participants were scheduled for periodic monitoring and
evaluation. Evaluation reports were submitted to E&T offices.
2. IMPLEMENTATION

Community Participation in the conduct of Extension Activities
a. Planning. Community participated in the identification of Research and
Extension trust for the Campus through a stakeholder’s forum. Moreover, the the
implementation of projects farmers are being consulted on what crops
commodities are to be adopted, cropping system and farming practices to be
applied.
b. Implementation. Farmers implement projects of the university as farmer
cooperators/ adopters. Understanding the role of IFSU and Farmer both parties
are will enter into a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA)
c. Monitoring and Evaluation. Both parties the community (farmer cooperators
and IFSU and both involve in the monitoring and evaluation of the projects being
implemented to know the development, issues, concerns and problems
encountered in the implementation of project in order to address the challenges
immediately by stakeholders.
