Our Bryans belong to haplogroup R1b, the most common haplogroup in Western Europe, reaching over 80% of the population in Ireland, the Scottish Highlands, western Wales, the Atlantic fringe of France, the Basque country and Catalonia. It is also common in Anatolia and around the Caucasus, in parts of Russia and in Central and South Asia.

Larry Wayne Bryan is our fourth cousin, once removed. Robert Monroe Bryan is his father. Both are descendants of Francis Bryan and his father, Thomas Bryan.
Stephen Dwane Bryan is a descendant of Morgan William Bryant who was a brother of Francis Bryan and son of Thomas Bryan.
Paul Anthony O'Brien: Descends from Luke O'Brien from County Cavan, which is adjacent to County Meath.
John O'Brien: Descends from James O'Brien from County Meath.
John Shroyer-: Descends from Peter O'Brien from County Meath. Shroyer is an adopted surname. He shares the exact same haplogroup SNP as my brother.
Sam Bryan: I am in contact with this family. They have not been able to trace further back than Samuel Bryan in Pennsylvania.
