9. Treat all horizontal building surfaces with Nationwide Ultra-Prime prior to other
the balance of project specific coatings.

10. Apply UGL- Dry Lok to the excavated area outlined in sub item 1.

11. Apply Custom Patch to all “hairline” cracks less than 1/16”; provide a minimum
2” band on both sides of the said cracks. Note: Custom patch provides 800
elongation. Cracks exceeding 1/16” must be tooled to expose depth of crack
to assure patching material application is applied equivalent to crack depth.
Prior to applying patching materials apply a bonding agent in to crack to insure
proper adhesion of the sealants. Friction apply a base coat of Acrylic
Urethane sealants allow to cure. Apply Custom Patch over acquired base coat.
Apply specified plaster mix if needed.

12. Completely and thoroughly cover all building components, landscape and
Flatwork before coating applications to avoid collateral damages with
“overspray”.

8.5 Application of Sealants

1. All voids, cracks, penetrations and junctures of dissimilar materials are to be
patched with Custom Patch and specified Acrylic Urethane sealant. As a
general standard application of smooth sealants shall be applied on smooth
surfaces and textured sealants on textured surfaces. Note: additional sand
may be added refer to manufacturer’s specifications.

2. Hairline cracks less than 1/16”: voids and hairline cracks require the application
of Custom Patch brushable grade patching compound applied at a minimum
4” wide band bridging the existing crack. All patching perimeter bands are to be
“feathered” down to zero to prevent telegraphing.

3. Voids, cracks and joints that exceed 1/16”: Voids, cracks and joints that exceed
1/16” in width are to be tooled to expose the existing crack; cleaned and
injected with a bonding agent. Apply a base coat of Acrylic Urethane sealant
equivalent to the depth of the crack. Refrain from applying more than a ¼”
per application.

4. Window and door Penetrations: Tool around window and door perimeter; to
provide an opening for sealant acceptance. Apply Acrylic Urethane sealant
and all specified finish applications uniformly. Bridge the perimeter mechanical
