IT ALL STARTS WITH an old tin or bottle that you pick up because you like the shape or packaging design, and you find a place for it on a shelf. Before you know it, your house, shed, attic and the boot of your car become a sea of collectables and paraphernalia rescued from the past. Safely in obsession’s possession, you have become a custodian. Curator now rather than collector, the hunt becomes all you think about, seek and read. You organise trips to feed your hunger and, when abroad, are not relaxing on the beach but rummaging around in second-hand stores doing your best haggle in the native language... Meet Victor Wild.
