The Oscar Collective
specialise in furniture,
art and decorative pieces
from the European Mid-
century period, the uber
glamorous Hollywood
Regency and 19th-20th
century objets d’arts.
Owner, Lizzie Gordon, has
a passion for beautiful
objects and great design,
with colour, texture and
form, which shape her
ever-evolving collections,
sourcing anything that
catches her eye or
gives heart palpitations – invariably simultaneously! (Haven’t we all had that feeling?). This is what ultimately guides her in her pursuit of pieces, searching throughout the UK, Europe and USA, to maintain a varied and inspirational stock.
“I only select items that I would love to own in my own home and constantly mix styles and periods to create impactful, original interiors with the occasional nod to the humorous.” She says. We love her eclectic mix of styles, which is absolutely bang on trend.

TREASURE HUNTING
There isn’t anywhere in the world that the team at Lunetier Vintage Eyewear won’t go to source the most amazing deadstock vintage sunglasses. This last time was the Middle East, and after confirming their authenticity, a collection of over 500 amazing vintage Yves Saint Laurent sunglasses were packed in their bags, destined for home! All of them came with their original cases, boxes or both, and all in “out of the box” condition - pretty remarkable considering they have been sitting around in a warehouse for some 30 years.
As well as some of the frames already hitting their website, they will be showcasing part of this amazing collection at two upcoming events in London too; Frock Me! on Sunday 4th September and Midcentury East on Sunday 9th October. (Read about Midcentury East on page 23)
To celebrate their recent find, they’re offering a fifteen percent discount to all lucky VE readers who visit them at either of these events - just present this editorial to them on the day to claim. www.lunetiervintage.com
What a Hoarde
If you haven’t checked out the great website of The Hoarde – it’s about time you did. They have everything you could possibly need for your home and garden, and plenty that you didn’t think you needed too! We also think that the prices are very reasonable too, as there is something in pretty much most people’s budget. Fancy a Mid-century sideboard? No problem. How about a beautiful gilded mirror with foxed glass, or an on-trend vintage table with worn paint and patina? It’s all there just waiting for you. As well as furniture, their dealers also have accessories, ceramics, lighting, textiles and all are of the very best standards. You can easily loose a couple of hours browsing, and we have, several times. So next time you are looking for something for your home, check out The Hoarde first, as you’ll never know what you’ll find!
