Step Back to the 40s
The Daily Telegraph named the Salute to the 40s event at Chatham Historic Dockyard one of Britain’s Best Vintage Festivals in 2014 and it’s easy to see why.
This year on Saturday 17th and Sunday 18th September, visitors can again be transported back in time as soon as they step foot into this popular annual event.
Be whisked back to the 40s with the very best in period entertainers who will be singing and dancing throughout the day to give the event an authentic atmosphere. There will be military and Home Front displays, an air display by the amazing Kent Spitfire, vintage vehicle parades, fashion, a vintage fair and a spiffingly nostalgic atmosphere from start to finish.
Visitors are encouraged to dress in the style of the 40s and fully immerse themselves in this weekend of vintage delight! Book tickets now via their website.

TWENTY TWO YEARS YOUNG
This September, the Manchester Vintage Fashion & Textiles Fair celebrates its 22nd anniversary and from its very first staging in 1983, it has set the highest of standards for other events to follow.
The fair began long before vintage became ‘cool’ (although of course, we here at VE think it’s ALWAYS been cool!) and will continue long after. It’s is a real treat for lovers of vintage and period clothing, textiles and haberdashery.
The event on Sunday 11th September will have the best UK traders as well as sellers from all across Europe that are extremely passionate and knowledgeable about their great variety of stock. So don’t miss this fantastic once a year opportunity to add some vintage panache to your wardrobe or maybe even get some fabric to make your own! http://decorativefairs.com
