VAN DRUNEN DRUM DRY FACILITY
The Van Drunen Drum Dry Facility project built for Van Drunen Farms, included the new
construction of a two-story, 103,200 square foot light industrial food processing plant located
in Momence, IL. The facility houses two rotating high capacity drums, which produce sheets of
drum-dried ingredients milled to finish flake or powder form. The light industrial food processing
plant was constructed on a concrete spread footings foundation with a precast walls and steel
structural frame. An exterior of precast walls and a membrane roof completed the construction.
The project also features office space, warehouse packing room, cooler, wet room, overhead
doors, and restrooms as well as upgraded heating ventilation and air conditioning systems,
electrical wiring, and plumbing infrastructure. The Drum Dry Facility project now meets quality
control parameters for zoning and environment.
