HANDS OF TIME
Together they battle the mice. A lucky hit with Clara's
shoe brings down the Mouse Prince.
His minions watch in disbelief as the Mouse Prince's
head deflates and disappears.
The crown rolls to Clara's feet.
The Mice pick up his headless body and carry it to the
Mouse Queen.
The Nutcracker presents the crown to Clara as he pleads
for her to come and free him and his land from their
curse.
NUTCRACKER
SO, LONG IT SEEMED. I LIVED UNSEEN,
WITHIN THIS SPACE, THIS WOODEN FACE,
WHILE UNREDEEMED THE HANDS OF TIME WERE TURNING.
CLARA
YOU CAME TO ME AND NOW I SEE.
I CAN BE STRONG, THAT ALL ALONG,
AGAINST MY DREAMS THE HANDS OF TIME DO TURN.
NUTCRACKER
STOP TIME AND SET ME FREE.
CLARA
FREE.
NUTCRACKER
FREE FROM THIS FACE THAT ENTOMBS ME.
CLARA
FREE.
NUTCRACKER
THIS CURSED EFFIGY.
