Urine Collection
24 hours urine specimen collection details:
Add a suitable preservative to the container as per the table below
Explain the process to the patient and advise him/her not to discard the same
Send a well mixed 20 mL aliquot of the total volume for analysis
(do not send total volume of sample)
Seal container properly to avoid leakage
Specify (24 hrs urine sample) on theTRF
Specify and total volume of sample on theTRF
For Creatinine Clearance Test, please specify height, weight & age of the patient
on the TRF
Preserve the sample at the required temperature as per test requested
The sample should be dispatched for processing at the earliest

Urinary Phosphorus 6 N HCL 10-20 mL
Urinary Uric Acid Boric Acid or 5% NaOH 10 gms / 10 mL
Urinary Calcium 6 N HCI 10 mL
Urinary Magnesium 6 N HCI 24 mL
17 OH Corticosteroids 6 N HCI 25 mL
17 Ketosteroids 6 N HCI 25 mL
Catecholamines 6 N HCI 25 mL
