home, if required
q Telephone company (including mobile
phone) and/or digital TV company q Cancel milk and newspapers
and ISP (internet service provider) q Cancel all rental agreements
q Mains services for disconnections q Re-route your mail
(gas, electricity,water)
q Send change of address cards to
q TV licence, passport, car licence and friends and relatives
registration offices
q Find and label keys for your purchaser
q Your banks, credit card, store card
and insurance companies q Arrange minders for pets and very
young children on the day of the move
q Insurance and private pension schemes
q All your creditors ON MOVING DAY
q Your doctor, dentist, optician and vet q Provide us with maps/directions, if
possible, of your new address
q Your local council
q If possible, provide us with spare keys
q Local groups you have joined to your new residence
q Your employer q Prepare overnight bags for your
convenience
q HMRC to update records such as
income tax, National Insurance, child q Prepare valuable items and important
benefit, Child Trust Fund, student documents to carry with you
loan, tax credits, VAT registration
details, pension, income support, etc q Collect children’s toys for the journey
