Question
1 Section/Location: Madison & St. Antoine Street Staff Name: Jerome Time: 2:50PM
There were four to six police officers present at Madison and St. Antoine directing traffic and pedestrians. Everything was orderly. Jerome directed us onto St.
Antoine from Madison. He was keeping the cars moving in an organized manner.
2 Section/Location: Brush 36th District Court Time: 3:32PM
There was a homeless man in a wheelchair begging for money as fans were making their way to their stadium.
3 Section/Location: Pride Plaza Time: 3:10PM
As Ms. Shopper walked from Gate A to Gate B through Pride Plaza, she did not notice any Police officers as she did in the past. There were not many fans
participating in the activities due to the cold temperatures, but not seeing any officers seemed odd.
4 Section/Location: Gate B Time: 3:20PM
There were two officers standing against the stadium wall watching fans as they went through the security and as they approached the doors into the stadium.
5 Section/Location: Gate G Time: 7:45PM
Ms. Shopper noticed several officers in the area while fans were departing the stadium.
RECOMMENDATIONS
Mr. & Mrs. Shopper always feel safe inside and outside Ford Field. Recommend perhaps a recognition time during the game to thank the officers
for all they do to keep the fans safe.
I felt very safe inside and outside of Ford Field. At any point outside of the stadium, I always saw at least one police officer. I overheard numerous
fans talking about how active the police were that day as well.
I would recommend keeping the same police staffing levels for high attendance game days, especially for the night games. The crowd was much
rowdier than what we have experiences on Sunday game days.
