SAILING INSTRUCTIONS
1 Races will be governed by the Rules as defined in
The Racing Rules of Sailing;
IRC Rules 2017 Parts A, B & C
Crouch Harbour Authority bye laws apply.
2 Competitors automatically grant to the organising authority without
payment the rights in perpetuity to make, use and show any motion
pictures, still pictures and live taped or filmed television of, or relating
to this event.
3 Notices to competitors will be posted on the official notice board
located at the Regatta Office in the Royal Corinthian Yacht Club.
4 Changes to Sailing Instructions will be posted before 0900 on the day
of taking effect, except that any change to the schedule of races will
be posted by 2000 on the day before taking effect.
4.1 The notation “DP” in a rule in Sailing Instructions means that
the penalty for a breach of that rule may, at the discretion of the
Protest Committee, be less than disqualification.
5 Signals made ashore - will be displayed at the Royal Corinthian Yacht
Club and the Burnham Sailing Club.
5.1 When flag AP is displayed at the RCYC, “1 minute” is replaced with
“not less than 60 minutes” in the race signal AP.
5.2 After a long postponement, an orange flag will be displayed with one
sound signal at least four minutes before a warning signal is
displayed.
