Provil Putty

Casting Materials 2 x 450ml Tubs of Provil novo silicone high quality impression
material used for making replicas for surface testing. Boxed
and includes 2 colour coded dispensing spoons.
Supplied as base (colour-green) and catalyst compositions
(colour-grey) and can be mixed or kneaded manually in a 1:1
ratio.
All Provil novo articles excel in their highly accurate reproduction of surface detail for reproducing toolmarks. CODE
Perfect dimensional stability and resistance to deformation.

Total Mixing time: 45 seconds. Total Working time: 2 minutes. From start of mixing to setting time: 5 mins.
(Setting times can be affected by temperature).

Mikrosil

Mikrosil has been formulated to give excellent rendering of small
details, highest contrast for microscopical observations, good
releasing ability and short setting time.
Ideal for use on toolmarks, firing pin marks and dusted
fingerprints where a regular lifting tape will fail.
These properties are of special importance with shallow marks and those with small details requiring CODE
large magnification. It is also suited for lifting developed latent fingerprints from textured surfaces.

Setting times: 5-8 minutes at 68 degrees Fahrenheit 12-15 minutes at 14 degrees Fahrenheit. The setting
time can be shortened by increasing the amount of hardener or lengthened by decreasing it. Do not add more than 6%
hardener.
Generally squeeze out equal lengths of Mikrosil and hardener when using this product.

Xantopren

Often there is only one opportunity to record a piece
of physical evidence i.e. footprint/tyreprints/toolmarks
and it is vitally important that you are able to match the
impression with the actual object making the impression.
CSI have a selection of materials for the recording of
physical evidence at crime scenes which is based upon the experience of serving crime scene investigators. CODE
This product is a light bodied, low consistency, silicone based impression material. 95200
Its light blue colour is ideal when being photographed.
Total working time 1 min 30 secs including mixing of 30 seconds. Setting time 5 minutes in normal conditions.
