Four, Reinvigorating Human Capital
In line with National Education Policy objectives, more than 15,000 schools will be strengthened.
A Higher Education Commission of India will be launched covering standard-setting, accreditation, regulation and funding.
Apprenticeship Act will be amended to enhance youth apprenticeship opportunities.
Five, Innovation and R&D
To ensure that the overall research ecosystem of the country is strengthened with focus on identified national-priority thrust areas, an outlay of H 50,000 Crs. for National Research Foundation has been allocated. A new initiative called National Language Translation Mission will be undertaken to ensure that governance- and-policy related knowledge is made available in major Indian languages on the Internet.
New Space India Limited, a PSU under the Department of Space will execute the PSLV- CS51 launch, which will carry the Amazonia Satellite from Brazil with a few smaller Indian satellites. Four Indian astronauts are being trained in Russia for the Gaganyaan mission.
